"The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom."
--John Locke
Our mission is to enhance the ability of individuals to learn and apply the increasingly complex, and overlapping laws applicable to businesses. For reasons explained in more detail on the Training page, we believe people learn best by 'doing'. We seek to further this mission by providing training tools using our Using Testing to Train ("U3T") approach. You can watch a video with more detail on by clicking here and then navigate back to this page.
As we discuss in more detail on the Training page, our U3T approach is based on the concept of Test Enhanced Learning, which emphasizes the retrieval of information in the learning process. To that end, we've started with simple quiz programs. We hope in the future to expand the tools to make them more interactive based on available research in cognitive psychology and neuroscience.
At present, we are focusing solely on developing training modules focused on tax law (in general) and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (in particular). We don't want to stop there, however. We would like to develop tools for other tax topics. Our ability to do so is limited by the time and resources of our contributors. We would also like to provide training tools for other areas of law. If you are interested in contributing, please contact the site administrator at admin@mioconsigliere.com, explain what your background is, what you'd like to help with, and whether you have any coding skills (its okay if you don't).
